History

The mission of the Christ Child Society of Duluth is to serve children in need for the love of the Christ Child.  This group of volunteers is dedicated to serving at-risk children regardless of race or creed and whether born or unborn.

Programs

Newborn Layettes - provide clothing and essentials to mothers in need referred by WCC, Lake Superior Life Care Center, Birthright, hospitals, and churches.  These are new items plus some items handcrafted by talented Christ Child volunbeers who knit, crochet, and/or sew.

Layette of Hope  - given to each WCC Client who has a positive pregnancy test as a reminder the baby she is carrying is a real, beautiful child.

Angel Gown - given to parents of a stillborn child or child who dies shortly after birth.  CCSD works with area hospitals to provide a gown to every grieving family regardless of income.

Crib Club - stock, manage and operate the store located inside the Women's Care Center; WCC clients earn points they can spend at the Crib Club on everything from booties to cribs, mattresses, and car seats.
