Christ Child Dallas organizes four "Family Engagement Nights" a year at a local elementary school for the school's first, second and third graders and their families. The students and their siblings visit fun activity stations organized by Christ Child members, with help from school coordinators. Everybody enjoys a pizza dinner and each student takes home books and an activity bag. Every Engagement Night has a theme. The most recent one was called "Books in Bloom." The Dallas group gave away a lot of books that night. It may interest you to know that they did not pay for the books. Instead, they helped out another charity called "Book Drive for Kids" and instead of getting a paycheck for their work, the Dallas chapter was paid in paperbacks (and some hardbacks).
