My Stuff: In partnership with foster care and social service agencies, some chapters make "My Stuff" bags (contents based on the recipient's age) filled with pjs, clothing, socks, toiletries and a stuffed animal. Children in crisis are often removed from homes quickly and don't have the chance to take anything with them. These backpacks are sometimes the only thing a child can call "My Stuff."

Mary's Kitchen: Our Akron chapter has found a way to serve youth who are aging out of foster care and need assistance with independent housing. In honor of our founder, Mary Virginia Merrick, the program is called "Mary's Kitchen." Members fill bins with new bowls, plates, silverware, dish detergent, towels, and more, plus they add a note of encouragement, promoting hope for the young adult's future.
