Car seats are expensive. They can cost hundreds of dollars and, in most states, a child is required to ride in one when in a car. So, Christ Child Omaha launched a program to give away "grow-with-baby" car seats to agencies that support new and expecting mothers in need. In June, car seats were delivered to Refugee Women Rising and the African Immigrant Services program. Car seats are a critical resource for child safety in vehicles. Christ Child Omaha also collaborates with their local Children's Hospital to offer car seat safety and installation classes for the parents-to-be.
