Pat Galvin/Toledo

“It is a joy and a privilege to work with so many kind and generous women who believe in the mission of the Christ Child Society. We are so blessed with wonderful donors who support us as we serve the needs of children in our community.”

Pat joined the Christ Child Society of Toledo in 2015 and has served as Layette Co-Chair, Clothe-A-Child Distribution Committee Chair and was a member of the Board of Directors for four years, serving as President from 2022 to 2024.

A graduate of Norwalk St. Paul High School and Bowling Green State University, helping others has always been an important part of Pat’s life. After teaching three years in Lorain, Ohio, she moved to Toledo Ohio where she taught Physical Education at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish School for 32 years, coached volleyball for 14 seasons, and served as a Girl Scout leader for 15 years.  Currently she volunteers with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the Toledo Metroparks.

Pat also has a special love for music. She sang with the Pride of Toledo Sweet Adelines Chorus for more than 26 years and served on its Board of Directors for 18 years, holding numerous leadership positions, including President. She treasured the friendships, performances, and opportunities to compete in regional and international contests.

Pat and her husband, Bob, recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.  They have three children and seven grandchildren, who bring much joy to their lives. When she isn’t volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing pickleball, biking, playing games and traveling.

Pat is honored to serve on National Board of Directors and is a member of the Convention, Membership, and Program Committees.
